MAX'S STORY
I went to community college because I had no idea what I was going to do and I certainly wasn't going to jump head first into a 4 year university without knowing. Community college gave me the opportunity to figure out what I wanted to do with my near future.
Community college benefitted me in a few ways. It made me a much more diligent worker and also improved my attitude towards school work. I was able to make a lot of friends while attending community college. It gave me a sense that my life was not going off the rails and kept me "on track" so to speak.

ADVICE
I would say going to Community is a wonderful idea from a financial and realistic stand point. A lot can change in 2 years and you want to be sure that you are going into something that you really enjoy doing.
WHAT I WISH I KNEW
I wish I knew not to worry as much. I thought that community college would be the end all be all for my academic career. But this is simply not true. Employees, professors and support faculty of the school are very determined to get you out of there and onto what you should be doing.
ONE MORE THING
I would just say that it is a great alternative option for those who aren't quite sure where they want to go. You leave high school at 17 or 18 years old and you're expected to know exactly what you want to do? No way. I'm so happy that I decided to go to community college.
